The Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) Campaign name and symbol were inspired by Ralph Lauren, with the belief that fashion can save lives.
The objective of FTBC is to inform and raise money for further research, education and treatment of breast cancer.
Since its launch in 1994, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has been established in 11 countries and has raised nearly $50 million worldwide for distribution to breast cancer charities.
The funds raised to date, through the sale of the t-shirt with the bull’s eye logo, have been allocated to breast cancer programs in order to educate women and increase awareness.
Over the years FTBC brings together the good will and services of every element of fashion industry including international fashion designers, leading retailers the world’s most famous models and celebrities, fashion photographers as well as media and PR firms among others.
Some of the world’s most well-known models lend their image to the campaign, such as: Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford, Lily Cole, Linda Evangelista, Jerry Hall, Eva Herzigova, Iman, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Fernada Tavares, Karolina Kurkova and many more.
Today the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) has been entrusted to the CFDA foundation who runs a successful campaign in US, South America, Europe and Australia. Providing meaningful help to millions of women for breast cancer prevention.
